CocoonDance Company performs VIS MOTRIX, the second part of the trilogy on the search for the “unthought” body. This piece, which has been widely discussed among others at the last Tanzplattform Deutschland, will now be seen again on two dates exclusively for professional audiences at the Théâtre du Crochetan in Monthey, 17. + 18.05.2021.
Research and workschops on the techniques of “breaking” and “krumping” form the basis of movements in VIS MOTRIX. The subsequent contemporary artistic perception modifies and transforms these movements in hybrid, ‘post-human’ energies and impulses.
VIS MOTRIX creates some strange as well as fascinating beings. The dancers seem to come from another world, they move through space and merge into an organism, a mixture of human being and machine, creating a hypnotic power that one can not escape.
